Goodbye Gossip Girl: Serena van der Woodsen Fashion

Awhile ago, I did a post on Blair Waldorf's fashion from Gossip Girl. Since it's my favorite show, I thought why not and do some looks inspired by our "it" girl Serena van der Woodsen. Just because Blair is my ultimate style icon doesn't mean I don't like Serena's style, it's just not my favorite of the show. But I do have to admit I'm in love with Serena's formal wear.

OOTD: Vintage and Nautical Lace

Today, I was supposed to go to the Museum of Fine Arts (but my plans changed), so I wanted my outfit to look somewhat artistic. I decided to go with this sweater because the nautical graphic reminds me of art and it went along with the color palette of the rest of my outfit. I also went with this long, lace pencil skirt because it added a vintage vibe, paired with my favorite oxford heels. I absolutely loved this outfit and the vibe it gave off (even though it could look a little granny-ish to some people).

Goodbye Gossip Girl: Blair Waldorf Fashion

Monday, December 17th the last episode of Gossip Girl aired. That will officially be the saddest day of my life. Since Gossip Girl is my favorite TV show ever, I am still in denial that it is over. I've even cried because I just can't accept the fact that there will never be any more episodes. What I'm most sad about is that I won't be able to see the amazing outfits Blair puts together. So, to try and cope with this I've decided to put together some Blair Waldorf inspired outfits, since she is and forever will be my fashion idol, (keeping in mind some of the items are definitely not in my price range).

OOTD: Mixing Leather and Lace

Lately, I've been in love with leather. Jackets, leggings, bags, everything! So since I got this leather skirt, I've been wearing it all the time. Recently I decided to pair my edgy skirt , with some feminine lace to create the perfect outfit for a holiday party! I also added my favorite pink flats for a pop of color. Overall, I'm just absolutely obsessed with this outfit!

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!!!

I love shoes, and I am definitely a shoe-a-holic. Lately I just can't stop looking at the blog "Sea of Shoes". I love seeing all the crazy and cool shoes Jane wears and how she styles outfits around them. It's made me want to branch out with the kind of shoes I buy. I decided I wanted to make little collages of all the unique shoes I would love to own some day. I know that some of these shoes aren't season appropriate but I still wanted to include them! Most of these shoes are wayyyyy out of my price range, but it's still nice to dream!

OOTD: Red Corduroy & Snakeskin

I absolutely loved this outfit that I wore to school recently. These red corduroy jeggings are such a statement, but they are also so comfortable at the same time. The snakeskin cardigan adds some interest and texture to the look. I also couldn't resist adding these menswear inspired oxfords to complete the outfit!
